My teaching method is simple in that I tailor my lessons to each student in order to ensure that every session is fun as well as productive. I encourage my students to make music with each other and perform for their friends and family. I also have my own resources which I use to help my students keep track of their progress and set their own aims and goals.

I first began teaching during my time as a student in South London where I was an instrumental teaching assistant. Giving young people in my community access to creative and cultural opportunities is my passion. I now facilitate music workshops and lessons for children and adults in North Manchester.
Standard courses focus on drumming alongside the singing of devotional qasā’id and nasheeds from around the world. The techniques you’ll learn can be applied across a range of instruments, including the daff, darbuka, and djembe.
I teach drumming workshops using a mix of both Arabic Iqa’at rhythmic theory and Western Classical music theory.
